Since fall has finally arrived, you’re probably looking for ways to take advantage of the season. Luckily, Grove City has no shortage of fun events throughout the year. Some of the best events the city puts on occur during the fall, so make sure you take advantage of as many as you can.
Make sure you try out a few of these fun Grove City events before you have to get too bundled up!
Breck Park Art Dedication
Are you an art fan? Then this event is for you! On October 21, 2018, the City of Grove City and the Grove City Arts Council will join together at 2 p.m. in Breck Community Park to dedicate the city’s newest art sculpture, Woof! Woof! by Ken Valimaki.
This is a great way to get involved with the history and culture of Grove City. This short event is the perfect Sunday-afternoon activity, so bundle up, grab a cup of cocoa and head on over this weekend!
Circle S Farms Fall Fun Days
If you want to spend an afternoon picking pumpkins, sipping apple cider and enjoying a hayride, Circle S Farms Fall Fun Days is the event for you. Apple cider, donuts and other treats are available for purchase at the farm so you’ll be able to enjoy the perfect fall experience. Though the farm is open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, you’ll want to make sure you get to it before Halloween; once November hits, the farm ends its Fall Fun Days for the season.
General admission to the event is $10.00 per person and includes access to the corn and sunflower mazes, bale cave, hayride and more! If you have a group of more than 10, you can pre-register for discounted weekday admission of $7.00 per person. This weekday group fare also includes everything general admission does with the addition of donuts, cider and a pumpkin!
Holiday Craft Bazaar
Mark your calendars for this eccentric bazaar taking place at the Evans Center on Saturday, November 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attending the bazaar is a great way to get some early holiday shopping done while getting to spend time with friends and family. Handcrafted gifts, pottery, jewelry, decorations and more will be for sale at this free-to-enter event.
In addition, proceeds will be donated to LifeCare Alliance Meals on Wheels. The bazaar will host over 40 unique crafters, so it’s sure to be a fun day walking up and down the aisles of vendors. Though the event is free to enter, visitors are encouraged to bring canned foods to be donated to the Grove City Food Pantry.
Grove City Welcome Center & Museum
Open weekdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays), this museum is a perfect way to spend time learning more about the history of Grove City. The quaint museum offers free admission and parking, so you’re encouraged to go as frequently as possible!
The exhibits rotate every few months, so it’s a great way to learn a little more about the city every time you go. In addition to a perfect condition 1912 Ford Model T car, the museum’s collection includes flat irons used by housewives to iron cotton clothing, an assortment of oil lamps, clothing, class graduation photos and a sofa made of horsehair.
Some of these events are ongoing, while others have more set dates. Make sure you take that into account when planning your fall weekends! Take advantage of everything Grove City has to offer this fall by trying out as many of these events as you can. What’s your favorite fall event in Grove City?
