The 45th anniversary of Earth Day is Wednesday April 22nd this year and for the ninth year in row central Ohio residents are giving back to the local environment! Hosted by Green Columbus, Right Right Now Now, will take place April 18th to the 25th with hundreds of service projects happening around central Ohio. Want to get involved? We know our residents at Parkway love giving back to Columbus and help the environment. Here are a few of the many projects taking around Columbus place in honor of Earth Day.

– Earth Day Clean Up at Goodale Park

Set on 33 acres, with 6 tennis courts, over 750 trees, 2 playgrounds, 1 baseball diamond, a basketball court and dog park, Goodale Park is one of the most used parks in Columbus.

Volunteer shifts range from litter pick up, garden bed clean up, and mulching.

– Alum Creek Clean Up – Academy Park, Wolfe Park and Nelson Rd areas

Volunteers will be picking up trash from environmentally sensitive public areas around Alum Creek. We plan to recycle as much as we can from what we find!

– A Helping Hands Center Earth Week Celebration

Helping Hands has started a brand new garden space to be utilized by classrooms and therapies. Volunteers will help by picking up trash and helping with planting in the garden.
