Summer is here and the weather is too beautiful to be sitting inside! Here are 5 must-do summer activities that you can enjoy right here in Grove City!

1. Experience Fryer Park

Why not spend a day at the park this summer? Fryer Park is home to 110 acres, with both educational and recreational areas to enjoy. Fryer Park features Century Village (a turn of the century historical experience), a nature preserve, eight softball fields, recreational trails, and Discovery Frontier, an all-accessible playground. The park is also home to Rotary Lake, an ideal spot for fishing, no license required!

2. Visit Battelle Darby Creek

Battelle Darby Creek provides young explorers with more than 7,000 acres of nature to visit! The park features over 18 miles of trails, a 14,000 square foot nature center, fishing, and so much more. With numerous activities and programs throughout the summer, you can take time to bike, canoe, or play at Darby Creek!

3. Summer Sizzle Concert Series

The Grove City 2015 Summer Sizzle Concert Series takes place every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the summer. The series features a wide assortment of central Ohio musicians providing live entertainment. The majority of the concerts begin at 7:00 PM at the George Edge Music Park, on the corner of Park Street and Broadway. All concerts are free for residents of Grove City to enjoy this summer season.

4. The Big Splash

Grab your sunscreen for a terrific day at the Big Splash water park! Grove City’s own water park features a large zero-depth entrance, a six-lane lap pool, a tot slide, two water-slides, water toys, a zero-depth entrance and two aquatic climbing walls. Patrons can also enjoy green space, lounge chairs, and a shaded eating area. Kids will love the Theme Thursday that takes place each Thursday throughout the summer with themes like shark day, luau day, and circus day.

5. Fryer Flicks on the Hill

Bring a blanket and embrace the summer weather with a free family friendly outdoor movie in Fryer Park this summer! Movies will be shown on a large inflatable screen at dusk every Thursday from June 11th to August 20th.
